During the final year of my civil engineering and architecture studies, I discovered 3ds Max. What initially felt like stepping into the unknown eventually became one of the best decisions of my life. I started as a freelancer, working on local and international projects, constantly chasing photorealism and searching for ways to bring still images and animations to life.
Over time, it became impossible to handle everything alone, which naturally led to building a team of talented enthusiasts who shared the same passion and vision. That journey eventually became Subpixel — a studio driven by creativity, collaboration and constant improvement.
Outside of work, I enjoy everything connected to technology, computer hardware and sports as a balance to long hours behind the screen, especially running. Gardening also became a great way for me to relax and clear my mind. Most importantly, I am a husband and father of five kids, so when I am not at the computer, you will probably find me running with two kids in a stroller while the other three ride bicycles beside me.
Ever since I was young, I loved drawing pencil portraits and getting lost in every wrinkle, expression and tiny detail. During school, there was never enough time for it, but I rediscovered that same passion later through 3D visualization.
In the digital world, I found a similar feeling — the ability to create something realistic while still building my own atmosphere and stories. I enjoy diving into details and slowly shaping complex environments that carry emotion and mood. Sometimes I look back at older projects and surprise myself with what was possible to create.
Working at Subpixel brings constant variety, from highly detailed product shots to tropical villas somewhere in the Pacific. I love the freedom to grow, experiment, contribute my own ideas and keep learning through every project.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new places, especially old city streets where I can simply wander without direction. I can spend hours in galleries or museums studying portraits and landscapes, imagining the stories behind them. I also enjoy the balance of movement and adrenaline — whether in the gym or climbing ferratas. In my free time, I am quietly building my own Hogwarts from Harry Potter, a project that perfectly reflects my love for fantasy worlds, darker atmospheres, and storytelling. Somewhere in the background, there is almost always music by Jessie J playing. Above all, my family and close friends are the most important part of my life and the people I can always rely on.
Working at Subpixel feels like the perfect combination of everything I love — architecture, design and aesthetics. Every project is a process of imagining spaces that do not yet exist while making them feel believable and alive and that is exactly what fascinates me about this work.
I enjoy creating atmospheres through details, materials and composition, always searching for balance between functionality and beauty. The possibility to shape spaces virtually while constantly learning something new is what keeps me inspired every day.
When I need a break from screens, you will usually find me in the kitchen, practicing yoga, sitting in a café in Piešťany, or traveling — ideally somewhere in France with an almond croissant in hand. I also enjoy making natural cosmetics and handmade soaps. Whether digitally or physically, I simply always need to be creating something.
My path to architectural visualization was not straightforward. Years ago, it was more of an instinct and a natural desire to create freely while discovering the world of architecture. I became fascinated by photorealistic visuals, refined details and atmospheric compositions. During my architecture studies, 3D visualization started as a personal passion — just me and the screen — before eventually becoming my professional path.
I am incredibly grateful that my journey crossed with Subpixel and that I now get to create alongside a team of talented and inspiring people. What I value most is the opportunity to continuously grow, collaborate and push every project further creatively and technically.
A large part of my free time belongs to my family and loved ones. I always try to be the best husband and father I can be. I enjoy simple moments near water or anywhere in nature. As a former baseball national team player, I spent years traveling for games, which sparked my love for discovering new places and meeting new people. Today, I still enjoy spontaneity and experiences that push me outside my comfort zone. Combined with my passion for water sports, it even led me to cold-water swimming, which brings a unique sense of calm and balance into my life. Besides that, I also enjoy DJing and cycling in my free time.
Photographer, videographer, and senior CG artist with more than ten years of experience, creativity has always been at the core of who I am. I enjoy being spontaneous and finding inspiration or solutions to both creative and technical challenges in the moment. My background in architecture strongly shaped the way I approach visual storytelling and continues to fuel my curiosity and desire to keep learning and exploring new ideas.
At Subpixel, I work on architectural visualizations while also managing content for our social media. I enjoy the balance between technical precision and creative expression that every project brings.
Outside of work, I record my own podcast and spend a lot of time exploring different forms of visual and audio storytelling. Creating, experimenting, and constantly discovering new perspectives is what keeps me inspired both professionally and personally.
For many years, I worked as a freelancer, mostly on my own, surrounded by deadlines, ideas, and decisions that depended entirely on me. Joining Subpixel did not change the essence of my work — I still create, analyze and search for solutions every day — but it changed the way I experience the process.
What I value most is having people around me who can offer a different perspective, help me move forward, or simply share ideas when I feel stuck. Being part of a collaborative environment opened the door to new workflows, tools and ways of thinking that I might never have discovered on my own.
Outside of work, I try to maintain balance between screens and the real world. My time belongs to family, friends, our dog and the garden, where I am learning how to slow down and let time flow naturally instead of constantly chasing it. To balance long hours at the computer, I enjoy yoga and cycling. Recently, I also started learning pottery, finding joy in creating tangible objects instead of only digital ones.
I joined Subpixel after taking a several-month sabbatical following five years in my previous job. I have always enjoyed working with people and deeply value freedom, flexibility, and independence — qualities that perfectly connect with my role as a project manager.
What makes the work even more fulfilling is being part of the process of creating something visually beautiful while getting a closer look into the world of architecture and design. I enjoy the balance between organization, communication, and creativity that every project requires.
Both professionally and personally, I like to live a little bohemian and appreciate the beauty of life in all its forms. Italy and its culture are especially close to my heart. I love theatre and perform in Biele Divadlo and Divadlo DAK. Fashion is another passion of mine, which is why I occasionally create pieces for my own wardrobe using a sewing machine. And of course, I will never say no to pistachio gelato.
